KOOKIE STYLE: Workout Wardrobe!!!

This past week I signed up at the Gym... Not that I have never been to a gym before, I've actually signed up more times than I can count, but in the past I had never sticked to an actual routine... I had not committed. That's the difference this time, commitment.

My back is actually in trouble- my spinal cord is tilting to the left, and my Doctor recommended weight training and lower back exercises to counteract years of bad posture...

Gearing up for the gym has brought back old traumas, like freaking out at the fact that I've never liked wearing Gym clothes!!! I'd rather be naked!!!! Seriously. But clothes are necessary and this time around I've decided to take Gym Fashion as a challenge, to express my unique personal style- urban, vintage and techie all rolled into one- that's me!

The next images are items that I've gathered while Mood boarding myself to a better Workout Wardrobe...This time I'll stick to stores that can be found at the mall, such as Adidas (Stella Mcartney line, yey), Victoria's Secret and Nike....I'm also including a link to an article about Jessica Biel's Celebrity Trainer, Jason Walsh- It includes a quick routine to get your heart rate & Metabolism going.
I personally saw Jessica Biel a few years ago at a Nightclub bathroom (it's weird I know) and I swear I have never seen a more sculpted body than hers... If you wish to know more about fabulous women and their workout routines, I recommend you check out Vogue's 10th Annual Shape Issue (APRIL 2011)- it's quite inspiring!!!! Hope you enjoy my Workout Wardrobe Picks... XOXO

KOOKIE STYLE: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD

Maybe it's due to the beautiful Spring weather, but I just feel like LOVE is in the air and on the shelves!!!

The array of handbags for this Season is amazing, ranging from the conservative and versatile, to the dainty floral inspired, to neon colored ones... Ending with the nude colored clutches brimming with gold details à la Alexander Mcqueen... Only to arrive to the trendy and not so eco-friendly plastic trend. How's that for true love?

The possibility of finding the perfect match in the Handbag department of your favorite store is truly endless...
Whether you're looking for a perfect clutch, an everyday tote, a cool messenger bag or simply a touch of kookiness to add to your wardrobe... Love is in the air & it promises to be a match made in heaven!

KOOKIE STYLE: The Neutralist

For most of my life, I've worn black... It just came naturally to me-it's a slimming color and you can certainly wear it for a night out or for mourning. What other color in your closet is so versatile?

I often receive compliments when wearing funky black or black and white items. Black is never out of style used to be my motto; the Little Black Dress is a closet staple, thanks to Coco Chanel...but the truth is, after so many years wearing awesome items in dark & safe colors such as grey and blue, I feel ready to take a walk on the wild side!!!

Maybe the word "passion" is a bit too much for this new found desire of wearing neutral colors from head to toe, but for me passion is a big part of life, especially when it comes to how I express myself through clothes.
The following photos are from Valentino's Ready to Wear collection for Fall 2011... You can find the complete collection at www.style.com:

Fashion may serve many purposes, but I think one of the most personal & intrinsically subjective ways in which people express happiness, love, lust or sadness is through fashion... Fashion is art, and art always seems to imitate life.
There are infinite messages a certain "look" can convey... I've decided to make a few outfit combinations based on nude palettes to give you an idea of what I mean. :)
